My Fab Favorite Designers: Halston

And last but most certainly not least, my all time favorite designer, drum roll please....Roy Halston Frowick for Halston. The king of minimalism who made simplicity an art form Halston is an american fashion legend and that title is more than well deserved.  Halston who designed for the likes of Elizabeth Taylor, Bianca Jagger, Angelica Huston and most notably Liza Minelli got his start as a milliner for Bergdorf Goodman and eventually launched a line of women's clothing that later led him to be known as America's premier fashion designer.

Roy Halston died after a long battle with AIDS in 1990 but his influence and his line has gone on.  Various designers such as Craig Natiello, Marco Zanini and most currently Marios Schwab have headed up Halston since his death and most have continued to uphold his aesthetic.  However, with that said I have seen Marco Zanini's debut fall 2010 collection for Halston, and I think he may have put a little too much of himself into the line rather than staying true to the Halston brand.  But we shall see.

Before we get to the spring 2010 RTW collection lets take a look at some past looks from Halston.

Now that I have whet your fashion pallates here is a look at the Halston Spring RTW 2010 collection.  Enjoy the show!

Simply beautiful!

TTYL,

-Devon
