This wouldn't be a fashion blog without red carpet coverage

Therefore I feel I must do the requisite post-Oscar red carpet coverage.  Now the below opinions are solely mine.  I tried to stay away from reading any other "red carpet fashion reports" so that my opinion could not be swayed *smile*.

Lets begin!

My husband hit in on the nose last night when he said that Sandra Bullock looked like an Oscar last night.  She looks regal and elegant in this Marchesa gown just like an Oscar winner should.  Congrats Sandra!

Queen Latifah is always one of my favorite people to look at on the red carpet, she always looks stunning and last night was no exception. She's come a long way since Ladies First!

I thought Miley looked gorgeous last night.  Everything was perfect from make-up to hair and especially this Jenny Packham gown.  She looked age appropriate and all around fabulous!

Ugh Mariah!  Sorry Sweetie but I hated this look.  It was boring and I feel like I have seen her in this dress several times before.  I think that it is time for Mariah to fire her stylist because I haven't seen this woman look good since she divorced Tommy Mattola.

This beautiful Vera Wang gown suits Mariska Hargitay perfectly.  She has the perfect shape to pull off a dress like this fabulously.  My only gripe about this look is the hair, I am not loving it.  I think Mariska looks gorgeous when her hair is down and would have loved to see an overall softer do.

I actually think this Armani Prive gown is beautiful, unfortunately I just think that it is the wrong color for Amanda Seyfried.  This gown in a pale pink would have done wonders for her!

I cannot get enough of this Atelier Versace gown!  Demi looks
AM-AZ-ING and at 47, what?!?!  Work it Demi!

Now everyone knows that everyone waits with bated breath to see what and who SJP is going to stroll the red carpet in.  This year it is Channel and honestly at first I wasn't totally sold on this look.  However, it read much better on television than it does in stills and now I love it.  I commend her for always doing something unexpected!

This is another dress that read better on TV than it does in pictures.  Jennifer Lopez looked beautiful in Armani Prive last night!

Rachel McAdams looked simply stunning in this Elie Saab gown which I think is my favorite look of the night.  I'll take one in every color please!

I am sorry but WTH is this?  I love Charlize Theron and usually I think she is spot on when working the red carpet but this Christian Dior gown is definitely a misstep in my humble opinion.

Well, well, well Kristen Stewart, you clean up nice.  Now if we could just get that awkward 'what the heck am I doing here' look off her face she would be perfect!  This Monique Lhuillier gown is duking it out with Rachel McAdams Elie Saab for my favorite look of the night!

Loves it!  I think Nicole Richie looks perfect from head to toe in this  Reem Acra gown.  Three snaps Nicki!

Meryl looks beautiful in this Project Runway alum Chris March gown.  She has previously been seen working the red carpet in one of his creations and I think they make a pretty good team.  Well done Chris!

This Giveinchy gown was just way too much look for Zoe Saldana. I really expected so much more from her.  The sparkling bodice on this dress is amazing, gorgeous, etc, etc but the rest of the dress goes downhill from there.  Oh well, there is always next year Ms. Saldana.

Penelope Cruz looks gorgeous as usual in this elegant Donna Karan gown.  I love everything about it from the color and the asymmetrically shirred bodice which stops in just the right place.  Love it all!

Forget Robert Downy Jr.  his wife looks amazing!  Don't know who she is wearing...yet, but she certainly stole the spotlight from her ever charming husband last night!

That concludes my Oscar coverage, so please leave a comment, lets discuss our faves and not so faves!
